Make Picassent a strategic industrial town. With this objective took place, yesterday morning, a meeting in the plenary hall of the Council with the businesswomen of the industrial estate of Picassent, and where also was present the councilwoman of Urbanism and Economic Promotion, Lola Albert, Romina Moya, manager of several associations of businessmen of industrial estates, Nacho Conesa, manager of the web www.picassentindustrial.es and Cristóbal Sanchis, municipal technician.

Over the last few decades, industry at Picassent has occupied an important part of the economy of our municipality. Back in the 80s, the first companies began to occupy a large part of our land, and in 2019, Picassent has 4 industrial estates.

Now, an important step has been taken and with the approval of Law 14/2018 of June 5, of management, modernization and promotion of industrial areas of the Valencian Community, from the Consistory they manifest the will and the interest to foment the cooperation between the companies and the administrations, with the objective to facilitate mechanisms to add and to develop joint actions. For this reason, yesterday morning, in the plenary hall of the Council, took place a meeting with the business of the industrial estate to learn, discuss and assess different proposals towards the same joint action: try to promote the EGM, Management Entities, modernization of the industrial areas of our municipality.

“Our people, given their good communication, gives us industrial areas with much potential and now is the time to join forces to achieve stronger, more dynamic and more active competitive areas. We need Picassent’s entrepreneurship to make this possible”, said Lola Albert, Town Planning Councillor, during her welcome speech.

During the day, the main lines and proposals of the new law were also presented, and the business community was encouraged to join forces and carry out the necessary actions to work together. For his part, Nacho Conesa, representative of the company Binn, reviewed the content of the platform www.picassentindustrial.es, a new space for companies that is already operational. Finally, Cristóbal Sanchis, municipal technician, explained the main actions carried out and also those of the future, through subsidies from IVACE, Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness, in our industrial estates.

At the end of the presentation of the contents, a round of prayers and questions opened the debate and dialogue between the Administration, experts in the field and the business representative of the industrial estate.
